Professora Kê: one mistake, thirty seconds.
Our short-form series for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, hosted by an animated Kenia. Each episode takes one mistake English speakers genuinely make in Portuguese, corrects it, and links to the matching lesson in the app.
Kê's lines are a real Brazilian voice generated in ElevenLabs. The gringo is a natural American voice doing his honest best with Portuguese.
The format
One mistake per episode. Gringo says it wrong, Kê's face says everything, then the fix and a pinned "save this" caption. 15 to 30 seconds, vertical.
The hook
Open on the mistake, not the lesson. The first second is the gringo line and Kê's stare. The correction lands at second three.
The funnel
Every reel ends with "a lição completa tá no app" and the waitlist link. Each episode maps to a unit, so the app opens on that lesson.
The app
One path from "oi" to opinions.
Learn first, then practise. Each unit opens with a short explanation from a real teacher, then listening, speaking, word-building and matching drills. Hearts, streaks, XP and weekly leagues keep you coming back.
Básico
Greetings, ser vs estar, numbers, food, family, getting around, your first real conversation at a padaria.
Intermediário
Past tenses, the subjunctive, travel, work, giving opinions, and understanding people who talk fast.
Avançado
Idioms, regional slang from Brasília to Salvador, formal register, and native-speed listening.
Tuca the toucan
Your daily coach. Cheers your streak, reacts to every answer, celebrates every unit.
Capi the capybara
Your exam mentor. Calm and steady through the CELPE-Bras exam track.
About us
Brasil brasileiro, since 2006.
Brazilian Brazil takes its name from "Brasil brasileiro", a line in Ary Barroso's 1939 classic "Aquarela do Brasil", a song about loving Brazil. That passion is the whole idea: helping adults, children and companies understand Brazil's language, culture and way of doing business.
The company was founded in Toronto in 2006, teaching private students, groups and corporate teams and translating for Canadian clients. Today it is based in Miami, and the teaching lives on in the app, the Professora Kê series and Kenia's book.

Founder
Kenia Lino
Originally from Brasília, Kenia is an educator first. She holds a Master's in Education Counseling (Pedagogy), post-graduate studies in Language and Literature and in Psychology Guidance for Educational Settings, and a college degree in Early Childhood Education.
Before Miami she taught for seven years in Canada, five in South Korea and four in Greece, privately and in schools, building structured programs for children, teenagers and adults. Besides Portuguese she speaks English, Spanish, Italian, Greek and Korean.
She has always been close to the Brazilian community abroad, including managing the KidsZone at Toronto's BrazilFest.
"In just six months of working with her, I am semi-fluent in Portuguese!"
"I may not be an A student but she is an A+ teacher."
"With Kenia, you would learn not only Brazilian Portuguese but also about the Brazilian culture."
Kenia is writing a book.
Everything twenty years of teaching taught her about Brazilian Portuguese and Brazil itself, written for people who want to sound like they belong there. Join the list to read the first chapter before anyone else.

Perguntas
Questions people ask.
Is Brazilian Portuguese different from European Portuguese?
Yes. They share grammar and spelling, but pronunciation, slang and everyday phrasing differ a lot. Brazilian Brazil teaches the Portuguese spoken in Brazil.
Is the Brazilian Brazil app free?
The Basic path is free. Plus costs $4.99 a month and unlocks all 30 units, unlimited hearts and offline lessons. The CELPE-Bras exam track is a one-time $39.
What is CELPE-Bras?
CELPE-Bras is Brazil's official certificate of proficiency in Portuguese for foreigners, used for university admission, professional registration and citizenship.
Who is Professora Kê?
Kê is the animated version of our founder, Kenia. Each short episode fixes one mistake English speakers really make in Portuguese, like saying excitado when you mean animado.
